Drew`s on Halsted in Chicago

Ridiculously crowded. Not just a full/busy restaurant, but the tables packed in so tightly that even the wait staff has difficulty moving around the floor. The food definitely didn't make up for it.

This is the second time I've eaten here and the experience this time was just as good as the first time. We made reservations and when we arrived were immediately seated. The staff was kind and attentive and the drinks were good.I ordered the lamb shanks and thought they were excellently done. The scalloped potatoes went well with the meal. I finished it with a nice blueberry desert. Overall the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the service was great. I would recommend having dinner here if you get the chance.

Such a cute little place! Perfect for brunch-lots of breakfasty options. The service was great, i ordered everything she recommended to me and everything was delicious. Definitely the place to stop before or after Blue Man Group!

Cute cozy place. Stopped for a nitecap after seeing Blue Man Group. Had a couple of cocktails, grilled calamari and beef tenderloin skewers appetizers as a snack. Smores sundae for dessert.

Small quaint place. Food big portions come hungry. Cocktails and speciality drinks available. Great for a casual dinner or a quick get together with friends!

This is my favorite brunch place - the three dollar mimosas are hard to beat and they're GOOD. So are the 5 dollar sangrias. food is great to. I highly recommend the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Really anything is great here. Bloody Mary bar is fun too!

Great food and drinks! The Asian baby back ribs were amazing!!! Also loved the pork chops. They had a Cabaret Shows that We really loved! Next time in Chicago definitely going back!

Bowtie pasta was good and the salmon my husband got was also very good! Table service was a little lax but we had no wait time when we arrived and were greeted and sat by friendly staff. Only 2 suggestions is to work on staff to keep refills coming and maybe change up the bread otherwise would recommend!!

I’ve been coming here for years. Loved it for many years when I visited Chicago every month. Sadly, my last two times were not good. This is the 2nd time that I was not at all impressed with the service. 1 year ago I was basically asked to leave so they could close early. They rushed me to finish a bottle of wine. It’s not Managements fault because they left already but be careful who is leading your restaurant when you’re away. So, I gave it another chance today. They were friendly for sure but no sense of urgency to serve. I waited over 10 minutes to get my water refilled and place my food order. The food is good but you need to fix the service issues. It was better years ago and I’m sure you’ve lost some loyal guests.

We didn't know if they were still seating on xmas eve. They immediately gave us a table and the food was Outstanding Staff very efficient friendly, will definitely be going again

This place is great. You really owe it to yourself to try it if you’re in the area. Service was pretty good and prices are very reasonable. I would come back if I were looking for a quick bite in the area. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired.

we had a lovely time at this restaurant. The food was excellent, though if I had one quibble, it would be that they did not serve me enough of the excellent roasted vegetables as the side accompaniment for my main dish. The service was good. And we had a great deal of fun listening to the singers in this cabaret style eating establishment.

They are on the verge of being a 4 star, but are falling just a bit short. The course timing was very slow, but better slower than too fast. The duck, lamb and pork chop were ok to good. The cocktails were okay. My bourbon cocktail had a cheap cherry instead of the delicious dark cherry. The white chocolate dark cherry bread pudding was not great, didn't have any white chocolate and lacked cherry's. Has potential but not quite there yet. The appetizers were much too small for the price and quality.

I absolutely love Drew's on Halsted! We were there on a Wednesday night and their Cabaret singing show was utterly fantastic. The great City of Chicago is known for having live musical performances, and I'm so happy that Drew's on Halsted has a wonderful musical director and Russ Goeltenbodt to provide Cabaret entertainment. The food at Drew's was excellent, we had the pear and goat cheese salad, crab cakes, and beef medallions. Everything was fantastic. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. I give Drew's on Halsted five stars and recommend people go in for their live Cabaret singing Nights

Place wasn't very busy when we visited last night (Sunday). The staff was very friendly and chit chatted with us before we placed our order. They have a nice selection of cocktails and beer. Food was good and tasty. First we had their ceviche (recommended by the server). The dish was fresh, tasty, and not fishy at all. Then our main entrees were the 12 oz pork chop and the hanger steak. Both had great flavors and filling.

The price for what you got was really high. The steak my son ordered was supposed to be medium rare, and you can see it was well done. The food was good, and the drinks we ordered were good, and our server, Ark, was fantastic, except to keep pressing us for shots. The salad was amazing, even though my son got no tomato's on his. The reservations were for 5, which I guess was early, cuz they were testing out the guy on the keyboard the whole time, while he kept signing the same sentence, which was aggravating. We won't go again.

I have been going to Drews for years and on this particular day had take out..the most delicious Eggs Benedict I ever tasted...love this place ...love Drew..James...the Owners and all the staff.

Excellent steak. Took the whole family for a fantastic dinner. Our server, Ark helped make our experience more enjoyable. Thanks Ark!

Good service, food was tasty and I enjoyed the drinks

Food and the service were "okay". We sat in the outdoor area, which didn't have the normal things (salt, pepper, etc) placed out. We asked for all of these but never did get the butter. The English muffin was soft, even though it had been toasted (no, it wasn't pre-buttered). Since we were the only ones outside, the waiter came by very infrequently.Not a bad restaurant, but not outstanding either.

Efficient service. Good brunch food and menu. Cheap but good mimosas and make your own Bloody Mary bar.

The food, drinks, service, and value were all amazing. Try the watermelon pureé martini, so refreshing on a hot day.

The place was busy but we were accommondated quickly. Drinks (Mimosas and bloody mary) are on point but I was disappointed with my food. The eggs in my benedict were overcooked so it took the fun and joy of the dish away, the hollandaise was slightly thick, tasted good but could have used some more of it. We also ordered the Halsted burger and the patty was burnt on one side. The flavor for the burger was so amazing but the burnt patty and bun pulled the dish down.

Went to Drew’s earlier tonight and absolutely loved it. We had butternut squash ravioli and blue point oysters for appetizers, and the filet and scallops as entrees. The food was all very tasty and the service was impeccable, even with the restaurant being swamped for Valentine’s Day. I absolutely recommend this place and will definitely return.

We absolutely love the cozy vibe. The hosts are welcoming and the menu is vibrant. Great option for a casual dinner, date or special occasions !!

Come for drinks, skip the food.Good cocktail menu with interesting drinks. Not the best ac near the bar so a little warm. Staff were fine but a little aloof. Skip the food since we found a nice long, black hair in our quesadilla. Kind of a turn off.

I had the Crab Cakes Benedict so you lunch. This place is great. The food is great and the crowd as great as well.

I've been to Drew's a handful of times through glowing recommendations by others. I have had great experiences each time for sure. The menu is delicious, the restaurant is quite relaxing to sit and enjoy the company your with over dinner, and the wait staff is great. In my opinion the is a really good go and a very fair check when paying the tab.

As a visitor, perhaps I'm viewing my visit through rose tinted glasses. I enjoyed observing the patrons coming and going. A couple on a date. Old friends bumping into one another. Drew's really feels like a neighborhood gathering spot. That being said, I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed my burger. For this visit, my first, I chose the Halstead Street Burger. What a treat!!! It was so delicious!!! The Maytag bleu cheese really plays well with Canadian Bacon and the Angus Beef. Be sure to order the truffle fries. You won't be disappointed! I washed it all down with a Franzishaner Weissbier!!! Absolutely delicious! Be sure to stop by Drew's on Halsted and be prepared to have a great meal and a lovely time.

Friend and I attended after a after blue man group show. Amazing dessert: chocolate lava cake with vanilla icecream--homemade! Very cute, chill atmosphere. Surprisingly pleased!

Pretty great service. Food too. Felt rushed out. Not really sure why! It wasn't so busy. Moved from my table to the bar. Had a few drinks. Just do t get it . Market Days was going on but it wasn't busy to warrant that.

Came here for Halloween for a drag cabaret show. Great atmosphere and great food.

We love this place! Not only are the welcoming, they support inclusion to make it a place for all to enjoy. We had out wedding brunch there with our closest family and friends and they far exceeded our expectations. The food was great, the drinks were great and the service was impeccable. The steak sandwich with truffle fries was BOMB. My friend ordered the burger. Everything was so delicious. Great service, friendly staff, would come again!

They let us in early and we were tended to immediately. Great service and great food. Me and my family loved it here and had lots of fun!!!

The food was very tasty. I had the salmon which was delicious. The wait staff was unfortunately lacking.
